Getting Started in Three Easy Steps

1 - Reach out

Fill out the contact form; you do not need to explain everything, just enough for us to reach out and to point you in the right direction.

2 - Get matched

Our office administrator will pair you with the counselor whose specialty and availability fit what you need. If you already know who you want to see, let us know.

3 - Get Started!

Your first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. You will talk about what brought you in and the goals you want to achieve.

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

Happy Adult Female Representing Talk Therapy

Sometimes we get stuck in patterns of negative thinking that make stress, anxiety, or depression feel even harder than they already are. CBT helps you recognize those patterns, name them, and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and responding.

Rather than spending all of your time focused on the past, CBT emphasizes learning skills you can use in your everyday life. Together with your counselor, you will identify unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice new thoughts and behaviors that support your goals.

Over time, those changes can improve your mood, strengthen your relationships, and build real confidence in your ability to handle anything that comes your way. It is practical, goal-oriented, and action-based, aimed squarely at how you function day to day.

Sessions are structured, but not too clinical. You will set goals early, work through specific situations from your week, and leave with something concrete to try before the next session. Sessions run 50 to 60 minutes and typically start weekly.

Is CBT For You?

  • You replay conversations for hours afterward

  • You assume the worst and are usually surprised when it does not happen

  • You are hard on yourself in a way you would never be with a friend

  • Worry loops and you cannot find the exit

  • You avoid things because of what might happen

  • You know a thought is not true and it still runs the show

About Us and What Others are Saying

Ashley Smith - Owner, LPC, RPT
Ashley has helped equip me with tools for parenting my son who went through a major change in his life. She listened, took time to give me materials, and helped me feel supported as the parent. I would recommend her for parents who have a child needing emotional support!

Ms. Smith has supported both myself and my kiddos through so many situations. She is enthusiastic to share ideas for solving everyday challenges as well as an expert in grief counseling, self-help, and executive functioning skills. I would give her 100/100 if that amount of stars was an option!
